Custom views

You can save a runs table configuration as a custom view.

Use custom views to sort, filter, and group runs before you start analyzing them. For example, you can sort runs by particular values to discover how they rank against each other and filter out the runs that don't meet your criteria. As a result, such runs won't clutter your analysis at next stages.

Access custom views

Custom views are available in all tabs: All runs, Charts, Dashboards, and Side-by-side.

To switch between custom views:

  1. In the top right corner of the app, click the currently applied view.
  2. From the dropdown, select a different view.

Default views

Every project comes with two default views:

  • All runs – shows all runs created in the project.
  • Archived runs – shows only archived runs.

These views show only basic run information such as run ID, creation time, owner, tags, and description. You can't delete or modify default views.

Pin a view

A pinned custom view becomes a default view for people who access the project for the first time. This is a useful option if you share Neptune links with people who aren't members of your project.

To pin a view, expand them all, hover over a view and select Set view as default.

For project members, the last visited custom view is the default one.

Share a view

Custom views are visible to all members of your project.

If your project is public, you can also share it with other people as the link is persistent.

Create a custom view

You can create multiple custom views, each focused on a different outcome that you're looking for. The view configuration persists and includes:

  • Applied query filters
  • Column configuration
  • Grouping

To create a custom view:

  1. In the top right corner of the app, click the currently applied view.

  2. From the dropdown, select New custom view.

  3. Customize the view.

For details on configuring columns, grouping, and filtering, see Runs table.

  4. In the toolbar, select ControlsSave to view.

You can also update an already existing custom view and select ControlsSave to new view.

Edit a custom view

You can modify a custom view and switch between the app tabs without losing your changes. To update the custom view, select ControlsSave to view.

A purple dot on Controls idicates that there are unsaved changes.

Rename a view

To rename a custom view, expand them all, hover a view and select Rename.

Delete a custom view

To delete a view, expand them all, hover a view and select Delete. You can't delete default views.
