Compare and analyze runs in the Neptune app
Your project stores all created runs and their metadata. In the Neptune app, you can analyze that data through customizable views and adaptable tools. Each project consists of two sections:
- Runs, where you can visualize, analyze, and compare the logged metadata.
- Reports, where you can create an analysis of your experiments and collaborate with team members.
To switch between sections, use the left-side panel.
Compare run metadata
In the Runs section of the project, use the following tabs to compare runs:
Tab | Keyboard shortcut | Description |
---|---|---|
All runs | See all runs of the project in a single table. Customizable, with support for shared views. | |
Charts | Display metrics across multiple runs. | |
Side-by-side | See attribute values as rows instead of columns. Useful for contrasting a large number of configs, scores, and other values at once. | |
Dashboards | Compose your own set of custom widgets. |
Select visible runs
By default, the runs table shows only experiment head runs. To see all individual runs, switch the mode from Experiments to Runs.
For details on the display options, see Select runs to compare.
Configure and save views
- Custom view: Save the runs table configuration, including filters and column settings.
- Dashboard: Save a widget layout and configuration to combine with any runs table view.
- Report: Save exact runs to display together with the widget configuration.
For details on these tools and their differences, see Gather and share insights.
