Select runs to compare
In Charts, Side-by-side, Dashboards, and Reports, use the runs table to select runs whose metadata you want to display and compare.
Show experiment head runs or all runs
By default, the runs table only shows head runs of experiments. A head means the latest updated run within an experiment.
To list all runs and not only the latest run of each experiment, switch from Experiments to Runs mode.
In the below Neptune example, you can view charts where only experiments are displayed.
Select which runs are visible
To add and remove runs from the compare mode individually, use the eye icon next to the run name:
- – open eye idicates a selected run. Its metadata is visible in the compare mode.
- – closed eye indicates a deselected run. Its metadata is hidden from the compare mode.
To select or deselect multiple runs at once, press .
Display shortcuts
To access display shortcuts, click the eye icon on the header row of the runs table. You can choose from the following options:
-
Auto-select first n: Dynamically selects the top n runs in the table.
-
To use the default of 5, click Select first directly.
-
To use a different number, adjust it with the / buttons, then close the menu with .
When this option is enabled, a star appears on the eye icon:
-
-
Display only selected: The table lists only runs that are selected and hides deselected ones.
-
Select all on page: Selects all runs listed on the current page of the table.
-
Deselect all: Toggles all of the eye icons off.
-
Include runs hidden by filters: Visualizes runs in the compare mode even if they're not listed in the runs table, as long as the runs are selected.
You can plot a maximum of 1000 graphs on a single chart. For example, if you're displaying 20 metrics from each run, you can select a maximum of 50 runs to compare.
