Manage account settings

Your Neptune account settings allow you to control your profile data, manage your preferences, and decide which experimental features to use.

Access account settings​

To access your account settings, log in to your Neptune workspace.

From the user menu​

  1. In the Neptune app, expand the user menu.
  2. Next to your username, select Edit.

From the homepage​

  1. In the Neptune app, go to the homepage.
  2. From the homepage menu, select User settings.

Change password​

You can update your password in the Change password section.

Change preferences​

In the Preferences section, you can choose the chart legend type that you want to use.

Choose app theme​

To change the app theme, under Select theme, choose between light mode, dark mode, or browser mode.

Choose color palette​

You can choose between two color palettes for visualizing metadata in the Neptune app:

  • Default palette, optimized for comparing as many runs as possible.
  • CVD-friendly palette, accessible for users with color vision deficiency.

We recommend using the CVD-friendly palette if you share views and reports with people who have color vision deficiency. You can change the color palette in the Select theme section.

Configure homepage runs​

In the My runs configuration section, you can define a regular expression to include additional runs in the My runs tab on your homepage. The runs can belong to any workspace that you're a member of.

Runs with experiment names that match the expression are included in addition to runs created by your Neptune account.

To configure a filter, enter a regular expression in the input box. Extended regular expressions are supported.

Enable experimental features​

You can enable or disable the following experimental features:

  • Alternative legend positioning

    Enable this feature to see more of the chart area when showing a chart legend.

  • Smart name shortening

    Enable to this feature to truncate long names of experiments and metrics.

  • Show completion level of metrics

    Enable this feature to see the completion level of point previews as a shaded area in charts.

  • Double-click to zoom out

    Enable this feature to use double click to zoom out on a chart and triple click to reset the zoom.

  • User homepage

    Enable this feature to use the homepage where you can view and manage all runs that you've created, instead of the default project list.

  • Custom code widgets

    Enable this feature to create and interact with custom code widgets in reports.

Edit your user profile​

In the Public profile section, you can add personal information that you want other users to see. Such information might include a short description or links to your profile on other platforms.
